Maria Hawkins is an earthy, fun and exhilarating singer and motivational speaker, who has been performing and instructing for over 20 years.

Maria develops and delivers music and motivation presentations and workshops for all groups, businesses, community groups, schools from pre-school to University level. What makes Maria’s programs unique is her use of music and humor, music and inspirational thoughts and all delivered with her usual high-energy performance.

The Maria Hawkins Band perform in clubs and for public events regularly (blues, soul, R&B, funk and rock). They have a great following in the Ottawa region and perform annually for fairs, festivals, community events and fundraisers. Maria and her band have opened for Colin James and performed with Amanda Marshall.

Maria travels across Canada for School Boards, Government, Church Groups, Conventions, Early Childhood Development Workers, Teachers Federations, CWL, and Professionals, to deliver her positive life skills and confidence building messages.

Audience members and program participants take away positive uplifting energy with them. These energies help participants to sing and laugh, provide opportunities for them to explore problems and potentials, reaffirm their self-image, and allow them to have fun and move forward more authentically with their lives.

All presentations are offered with the support of one accompanist, a band or a group of musicians. Keyboard, harmonica, saxophone, bass, drums, percussion available.
